Herring woke up, feeling rather sickly. He'd realised his little broomstick detour had caused him to miss two of his lessons yesterday, both of which he'd need to catch up in. But today he had his first "DATDA" lesson. The mysterious acronym left Herring feeling a little curious, but moreso feeling very, very worried.
When he got down to breakfast, he was Tron and Mermione reading a newspaper. The cover said "Smilius Black - Still At Large". Tron called Herring over.

Herring had Tikwick third lesson, for Charming. Tron had explained that Charming was a dangerous subject, and the key was to remain well hidden, and never volunteer for anything. Herring had yet to find out why...
The room Charming took place in was just like any other room in the school, except many of the walls had large mirrors on, and magazine clippings of who seemed to be the professor. Herring's second lesson of the day was to be Transmegrification, with Professor Meggonagal. Since Herring didn't know who she was, or of what the crap transmegrificaiton was, he had no idea what to expect. Herring sat down at a desk, and waited for the lesson to begin.

Once Herring had settled into his dormatory, and arranged all his socks in alphabetical order by colour, it dawned on him that his first lesson was tomorrow. He picked up his timetable, which he'd carelessly cast aside. The first lesson appeared to be French Pastries. Herring suddenly noticed one of his dorm mates was peering over his shoulder.
"Double Enchanted French Pastries with Proffessor Crepe? Ouch," he said, pointing to the lesson block.
